Anthem AVM 70 processor review

Here we have the AVM 70. We swapped out our Marantz AV 7702 MKII. Immediately we noticed differences. The Bluetooth sound was more impressive and the overall sound was brighter and more energetic in a very good way. By now we have 13 speakers 🔊 in our system and have been trying out lots of material (music & movies) streaming and hard copies making adjustments and changes For music we noticed the vocals are more detailed and cleaner with a heavy neutral tone so it sounds very realistic. The instruments have become way more identifiable and have a richer sound. The movies have revealed what streaming movies have a good mix and which ones don’t. The good mixed movies make you feel more like your in the movie with the Atmos speakers really in action. The movies that didn’t have great mixes just didn’t deliver and sounded flat. The way we discovered that was by comparing the stream to the disc and the bluray player and disc really delivered an outstanding performance. Originally I didn’t think the visuals we much different but over a few days of watching I did start to notice more details, the blacks were more black not just dark and the same for the whites. Colors really seem to pop and jump out. Even the vivid picture selection on my projector seemed to not look so cartoonish. Still not my preferred image selection but nice to see the processor making overall differences. So in closing we have changed our final rating to a 9 out of 10. Again, mostly because no on screen display and you will need to have some good measurement knowledge as this device can make so many detailed changes.
