I hope all of you are fine. 😊 In this video, I'm going to talk about a common issue many of you have raised. Some people have messaged me, saying they are using LinkedIn to find scholarships but haven't had any success. For example, one of my friends mentioned that he has two publications, a third one pending, and will be graduating in August. He spends six to seven hours on LinkedIn daily but hasn't found any scholarships in the last two to three months. 😞 He asked for additional tips and tricks to find more scholarships. Firstly, there is no single step or process to find scholarships; multiple approaches can be effective. Here are some additional tips: 📱 Join WhatsApp Groups: Many people run WhatsApp groups where they share scholarship opportunities. If you're not finding success on LinkedIn or Facebook, join these groups and check them daily for new posts. 👥 Facebook Groups: There are specific Facebook groups for veterinary scholarships. I'll provide links in the description of this video so you can join these groups and stay updated. 🔗 Specific Platforms on LinkedIn: There are specialized platforms for scholarships in animal science, agriculture, and veterinary medicine. Make sure to explore these as well. 🌐 Academic Networking Sites: Use sites like ResearchGate and Academia.edu, as well as various university websites. These platforms often list scholarship opportunities. 📧 Direct Contact with Professors: Don't hesitate to send personalized emails to professors asking if they have any upcoming funding opportunities. Networking is crucial. 💻 Online and Offline Workshops and Conferences: Attend webinars and conferences. Often, professors mention if they are hiring students for research positions. 🔍 Broaden Your Search Keywords: For example, instead of looking for specific terms like "MSc in veterinary medicine," consider broader terms like "MSc in animal science" or "agriculture." This can increase your chances of finding relevant opportunities. For instance, in my field of omics science (genomics and metabolomics), if I were searching for a PhD opportunity, I would use keywords related to infectious diseases and broad topics within animal science. 🔄 Stay Persistent and Updated: Check LinkedIn regularly, and use the tips I've shared in my video on how to effectively use LinkedIn for scholarships. Remember, it's not just about finding the opportunities but also about making yourself a strong candidate. Have a solid CV with publications, a good CGPA, volunteer activities, and skills in data analysis, programming (R or Python), and biostatistics. Lastly, always seek feedback on your cover letter, CV, and research proposals from friends and colleagues to improve them. ✉️ I hope these tips help you in your search. If you have more questions, leave them in the comments. Stay tuned for more information in my next video. 📺 Thank you so much! 🌟
