Our Sierra Nevada Mountain road trip started at Convict Lake. This free park is breath taking and totally worth the 1.5 mile hike around the lake. Just across the street is Hot Creek Geological site. As far as we are aware, this is the only location out side of Yellowstone where you can see the brightly colored thermal pools. We end our day and camp at the Travertine Hot Springs.
