Epic Orchestral Masterpieces, Classic Movie Music – Episode 2 This episode of The Sound of Cinema presents orchestral works inspired by the grand, dramatic film scores of early Hollywood. The music reflects the characteristic sound of that era: sweeping strings, powerful brass sections, and a strong sense of scale and narrative. Created in the tradition of classic epic cinema, these compositions highlight the timeless qualities that defined the golden age of orchestral film music while offering a contemporary interpretation of the style. To compose and shape this music, I worked with a carefully curated palette of orchestral libraries, synthesizers, and acoustic instruments: Orchestral & Cinematic Libraries Independence Pro Premium Suite, UJAM Cinematic Elements (Strings, Brass, Drums, Percussion), Cinedream, Colors – The Orchestra, Steinberg Iconica Opus, Olympus Choir Elements, Iconica Sections & Players, Cinematic SoundScapes, Steinberg Cubase and Halion Instruments. Synthesizers Dune 3, The Legend HZ, Zebra HZ, UJAM Synthesizers, U‑he Diva, Cherry Audio Synths (DCO‑106, CA2600, Surrealistic MG‑1 Plus, Polymode, Eight Voice, PS‑20, Memorymode, Mercury‑4, Mercury‑8, Miniverse, GX‑80, Dreamsynth, Sines, Harmonia, Pro Soloist, Elka‑X, Lowdown, Quadra, Novachord + Solovox, PS‑3300, SH‑MAX, ODC‑2800, Crumar Spirit, Trident, P‑10, Atomika, Synthesizer Expander Module, CR‑78 Drum Machine, KR‑55C Drum Machine, Blue3 Tonewheel Organ, Wurlybird 140B Electric Piano, Rhodes Chroma), D16 Group Lush‑2, Tone2 Icarus, Electra, Saurus, Rayblaster, GEM WX2, Steinberg Retrologue 2 and Voltage Modular.
