Welcome to Vivid Church. Today’s message, “Grace and Grit,” continues our series The Good Fight from the book of 2 Timothy. In 2 Timothy 4:7–8, Paul says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” But how do we stay strong in a world where we are weak in finances, marriage, parenting, identity, or even faithfulness to God? The answer isn’t “try harder.” Scripture says: “Be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.” (2 Tim. 2:1) Weakness isn’t failure. Quitting isn’t final. Grace empowers your return — and grit keeps you in the fight. In this message we explore: • How grace and grit work together in spiritual growth • Why spiritual clarity requires fewer voices, not more • The danger of revelation-based movements and reinterpretation theology • How to recognize spiritual counterfeits (Islam, Mormonism, Hebrew Roots, Holy Name, etc.) • What it means to endure suffering as a good soldier • Why many Christians wear the “jersey” but never join the team • How farmers, athletes, and soldiers point to the Christian life We also outline Vivid’s mission, vision, and values: Mission: Know God. Find Freedom. Discover Purpose. Make a Difference. Vision: Reaching People. Building Lives. Values: Bible over Opinion; Abiding over Striving; Community over Isolation; Serving over Consuming; Growth over Complacency; Generosity over Greed; One More over Comfort. If this message encouraged you, let us know in the comments and share it with someone who needs strength today. Join us next Sunday — online or in person — as we continue The Good Fight.
