The did some really interesting things with this movie, yet we were also left with the impression that it had all been done before. It's a mixed bag of a movie, hamstrung by a distribution deal with Universal, and lost among the eventual house-style of Marvel. It doesn't fit it, yet that's some of what I like best about it! Mostly because I rewatched it remembering almost NOTHING about it. So I got to go in almost blind. I had so much more to say about this movie than I thought! And it really reminded me how much I typically like the character. But I don't think this reboot quite hit the mark for me.
