Sarma is a dish of grape, cabbage, monk’s rhubarb or chard leaves rolled around a filling usually based on minced meat. It is found in the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire from the Middle East to the Balkans and Central Europe. During these colder days it's good to eat food that provides sustenance. The traditional Bosnian Sarma is one of those dishes. It has many varieties in Eastern Europe too, but the one provided here is my mom's traditional and very simple sour cabbage meat roll recipe. This time we will cook sarma my mom's own version and I really like it. I eat sarma with sour cream and its so refreshing.
