Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST) held an inspiring Lunch & Learn event aimed at empowering women to take active roles in governance, themed, “Bridging the Gap: Women, Governance, and the Path to Gender Equity in Boardrooms.” This engaging panel discussion moderated by Meg Roberts, the co-host of Mornings with Mike and Meg on AM800, highlights the critical issue of gender representation on boards. Local women leaders, including Monica Liang Staley, Rosana Kemsley, Jennifer S. Rooke, Warden Hilda MacDonald, Ajsela Murselovic, Carolyn Brown, Nadine Manroe-Wakerell, and Dr. Nila Das shared their insights on the importance of diverse voices in corporate governance, the barriers women face, and actionable steps to increase women's participation in leadership roles.
