Had a training session at "Rigas meži" enduro trail right next to 333 sports complex and besides doing all kinds of usual stuff tried something new. At first I wasn't sure will I actually be able to do the whole track single-handed as some spots where quite sketchy. Riding single-handedly puts huge amount of stress on your legs, but especially on your lower back, as you essentially don't hold onto anything with your hands (mechanics dictate that for balance almost no force can be applied through the single hand on the handlebar), providing all the stability with your legs and core. This was my second attempt at a lap (in the first I quite somewhere around middle of the track as I just improvised riding single-handedly whilst actually working on other stuff at the moment). To be honest, I got exhausted the first time I tried it so quit. All lap was done in the 3rd gear. The second time I decided that I'll push through it. Excuse the "funny" looking arm hanging around in the left of the frame - tried to keep it in the frame as much as possible so that there is no question I actually rode single-handedly. I think I only touched the bar once for a second or two in a sketchy moment. All in all I'm more than happy with my first complete lap single-handedly, completing it in 14:23, whilst my full out best time this training session for the lap was 9:38 (thus, single-handedly I managed to only be 1.5 times slower). ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Been riding off-road for about 142 motor-hours in total up to this. I'm riding my Husqvarna TE300 (TPI) 2023 model. The bike is stock apart from protection, S3 Punk pegs (low & back) and a CrossX Ultra Grip Series seat cover. A used Mitas Terra Force-EF Super on the front (90/100-21) and a quite worn Metzeler Enduro Extreme Soft on the rear. Both wheels equipped with mousse bibs, equivalent pressures ~0,6 bar at the front (1 rim-lock) and ~0,45 bar at the rear (3 rim-locks). Outside ambient temperature around +23 degrees Celsius. Video captured by GoPro HERO 11 mounted on my helmets chin in a HyperView mode.
