New Trample updates came with the recent Sarcosuchus TLC game patch, and we wanted to dive a little deeper into how everything works: Players caught under the feet of larger dinos will now notice a more consistent trample damage system that takes size, distance, speed, and the area hit into account. Trample now also affects critters, giving another option to defend against them. Each stomp of a sprinting dinosaur's foot can now deal damage to anything next to or under it. The amount of damage dealt depends on the size, growth, and weight of the two dinosaurs. The system has also been updated to add "Impact Damage". Basically, if a large dinosaur runs full steam ahead into another, it will take damage upon impact. The exact amount of impact damage depends on their speed and the angle between the two dinosaurs. And, if a dinosaur is similar or smaller in size to another, the other dinosaur will not be affected by their Trample or Impact damage. Trample is now much more useful for larger dinosaurs to take care of pesky anklebiters, and is a great way to keep dinosaurs away from your blind spots. Server owners will be happy to know that they can change or override any of the Trample workflow with traditional curve overrides. We look forward to seeing how players will use their dinosaur’s size to their advantage with these new trample mechanics. As always, we will be listening to your feedback. #pathoftitans #dinosaurs #trample
