The North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco is an American twin-turboprop light attack and observation aircraft. It was developed in the 1960s as a special aircraft for counter-insurgency (COIN) combat, and one of its primary missions was as a forward air control (FAC) aircraft. It can carry up to 3,200 lb (1,450 kg) of external munitions and internal loads such as paratroopers or stretchers, and can loiter for three or more hours. Bronco Demo Team. Our flying display intends to show the excellent flying characteristics and agility of the OV-10 Bronco. During the display the short takeoff and landing performance and the maneuverability of the airplane are highlighted. The airplane’s agility allows for the display to be performed in a relatively small “box” right in front of the public, providing continuous entertainment without gaps. A smoke system – using only environmentally friendly compounds – adds an extra dimension to the display.built, flew and maintained the aircraft from inception to the present. The driving force behind the team is also the main pilot display pilot, Tony de Bruyn. Tony loves displaying the Bronco! He shows the airplane to its best advantage as a rugged STOL performer with awesome agility and fully aerobatic.
