19 unspoken rules of life. Unless you went on to become a teacher, chances are, you don’t use a lot of what you learned throughout elementary and high school in your everyday life. While cursive may be visually pleasing, there are some life pointers we should have been taught instead. We all (hopefully) strive to be better people every day and while there are several unwritten rules on how to do so, there are enough people breaking them so listing them all in a video never hurts. #UnspokenRules #RulesOfLife #ModernEtiquette Timestamps: Intro - 0:00 1. Always wear headphones when watching or listening to anything on your phone in public. There’s nothing worse than being forced to listen to someone else’s Snapchat stories while out and about. If you forgot your headphones at home, wait until you get back home to let your phone speakers vibrate. 2. Listen To People In Real Life. Focus your attention on the people you’re with, not the people contacting you on your phone. Sure there are emergency exceptions, but if someone is texting you just to chat, wait until you’re alone. Always being on your phone will make you look worse to the people you’re with compared to the person on the other end of the phone. 3. Don't Forget To Reply! Especially when someone invites you to something, like a house party or a barbeque. RSVP to an event as soon as you know whether or not you can make it. It’s rude to keep the host waiting and not RSVPing at all is not the same thing as declining. There doesn’t have to be some elaborate excuse as to why you can’t make something, just give a simple yes or no answer. 4. Watch Your Order. If someone else is paying for your meal, be reasonable with your order. Being treated to a meal is a lovely gesture, but it will definitely be the last time if you start ordering the menu’s top tier items. You should also still offer to pay even if you know you are being treated just out of common courtesy. 5. Watch Your Phone (While Ordering). Get off your phone while ordering food or drinks. It takes two seconds to make your order and no one is so busy that they can’t hang up the phone for this small fraction of time. It’s rude to the person who is serving you and it can make them feel awkward if they have any follow-up questions. 6. Asking For Friends. Always ask if you can invite someone to someone else’s plan. Whether it’s a party or just a night out at the movies, ask the person who made the plans if you can bring someone. Springing a new person on someone when they were expecting to hang out with just you can really offset the mood. 7. Tip Your Server. Always have a tip in your budget when going out to eat. While the system might suck, we know, those servers have to get those tips in order to survive. If you can’t afford to tip your server, get fast food instead. That means you too, Mr. Pink. 8. Live In The Moment. Don’t film the entire duration of a concert. Phone screens plaguing a concert crowd is almost as bad as phone screens during a movie. Sure, take a picture or a brief video clip, but don’t take minute long videos. It’s distracting to others and also when are you ever going to watch this footage? Why not experience it with your eyes first hand. 9. Turn Off The Phone At Dinner. Keep your phone off of the dinner table. You should already know that you shouldn’t be using your phone while out to dinner, but keeping it on the table is just as bad. It shows the person that you’re with that you are waiting for something potentially more important. Bathroom checks are fine but chances are, you’ve missed nothing. 10. Wipe Your Stinky Sweat. Wipe down gym equipment after using it. Gym rats pay attention: you should always clean the gym equipment you just used after a session. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: / bestieinc ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medical Disclaimer: https://pastebin.com/xLmigD6i Website: www.bestie.com
