On Constitution Day 2025, we remember the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, which came into force on January 26, 1950. Constitution Day would be observed by the nearly 2.63 lakh Panchayats across the country, and the Preamble of the Constitution would be read in local languages, the Panchayati Raj Ministry said on Monday. The idea now is to reach a wider audience beyond officials & invited guests, generate an emotional and patriotic connection & public participation and communicate the message National Constitution Day Celebrations to Begin at the Historic Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan...President and PM will attend the program. All BJP MPs have been instructed to attend the program. Opposition MPs have also been invited. The national function to commemorate Constitution Day, 2025 will be held in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan at 11:00 AM... The President of India will preside over the ceremony. The Vice-President of India, Prime Minister, Speaker, Lok Sabha, Union Ministers and Members of Parliament from both Houses are scheduled to attend the event. Meanwhile the Congress will observe November 26, as ‘Samvidhan Bachao Divas’ (Save Constitution Day) across the country by organising discussions on 'vote chori' (vote theft) and “dangers” posed by the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, as well as public reading of the Preamble, among others. The Indian National Congress has directed all its state units to observe as 'Samvidhan Bachao Divas' at Pradesh Congress Committees (PCC) offices and district headquarters across the country.
