These monthly lists often highlight the 10 games that you should keep an eye on over the next month. But I've bumped it up to the top 12 new PC games coming out this month. August is stacked. It could've been a top 17, but you have to call it at some point. So, I guess you’re wondering what are the best PC games coming out in August 2021? Well, over 15 years after the original, Psychonauts 2 launches this month, and I couldn't be more excited. Everyone will get to determine whether Humankind is the Civ killer some people are calling it, in a few weeks time. And the next game from DayZ's Dean Hall, Icarus, is one to watch for those that enjoy survival games. Look, let’s just get on with it, shall we? Here are our top 12 new PC games for August 2021. On top of the three mentioned above – Psychonauts 2, Humankind, and Icarus – the star-studded Twelve Minutes is one to watch for fans of narrative-driven adventure games, and Willem Dafoe. You don't have to wait that long to get your hands on cutesy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater-like SkateBird. And, on the topic of patience, King's Bounty 2 launches at the end of August. As well as all that, when it comes to new PC games, Aliens Fireteam Elite aims to make you forget about the rotten memory of Aliens Colonial Marines. Glitchpunk is a futuristic throwback to GTA 2. And if the devs can pull it off, Road 96 is a procedurally-generated, first-person story game that sounds great. But, we're not stopping there.
