Today's Lunch Menu - Teriyaki Chicken - Cucumber Roll-ups - Steamed Veg Rice - Naush Kitchen

🌺Teriyaki Chicken Ingredients • Chicken Breasts 4 • Soy sauce 3/4 cup • Water 1 cup • Vinegar 1/2 cup • Red chili flakes 1/4 tsp or more to tasta • Garlic paste 2 teaspoons • Ginger paste 1 teaspoon • Corn starch 3 tablespoons • Sugar 1/3 cup • Sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon • Chopped spring onions Preparation BAKING 1. Preheat the oven to 220° C. 2. Clean, wash and pat dry the chicken breasts. 3. Pound them with a meat hammer to an even thickness. 4. Arrange them in a casserole or any other baking dish. 5. In a pan add soy sauce, water, vinegar, red chili flakes, garlic paste, ginger paste, corn starch and sugar. 6. Cook on a low flame until the mixture thickens. Low flame will cause the raw aroma of ginger and garlic go away. 7. When the mixture is thick, turn the flame off and mix in the sesame seeds. 8. Put half of the mixture on the chicken pieces and cover the casserole with an aluminium foil. 9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. 10. In the meantime, strain the soy sauce mixture to get rid of chili flakes and sesame seeds. 11. Once the chicken is cooked through, take it out in a serving dish and pour the remaining chicken liquid into the soy sauce mixture. 12. Cook the mixture on a medium flame until the sauce reaches your desired consistency. 13. Pour this thickened sauce over the chicken pieces and cut them diagonally. 14. Garnish with spring onions. 15. Serve hot with steamed rice. 16. Enjoy! COOKING 1. Follow steps 1-7. 2. Place the chicken pieces in a cooking pot and pour all of the cooked sauce over them. 3. Cover and cook on low flame until the chicken is ready. 🌺Steamed Vegetable Rice in Rice Cooker Ingredients • Rice 2 cups • Water 3.5 cups • Soy sauce 2 teaspoons • Chicken cubes 2 • Green bell pepper 1/2, sliced • Red bell pepper 1/2, sliced • Yellow bell pepper 1/2, sliced Preparation 1. Wash the rice (no need to soak the rice). Add to the rice cooker. 2. Add soy sauce, chicken cubes and bell peppers. 3. Cook the rice cooker on the setting that you would normally use for the plain boiled rice. 4. When half of the time has passed, open the rice cooker and stir the rice one to two times so that the chicken cubes which have now been melted are mixed thoroughly. 5. Close the lid and complete the cooking process. 6. Serve immediately. 7. Enjoy! 🌺Cucumber Roll ups Ingredients • Large cucumber 1 • Yogurt 1 cup • Dill 1 tablespoon • Parsley 2 tablespoons • Salt to taste • Black pepper powder to taste • Black olives 2-3 tablespoons Preparation 1. Place the yogurt in a strainer and allow to stand for 1/2 hour or more until the liquid has drained and the yogurt is very thick. Alternatively, you can use Greek yogurt. 2. Finely chop the dill and parsley and add to the yogurt. 3. Mix in salt and black pepper powder. 4. Transfer the yogurt mixture into a piping bag (or a ziplock bag). Snip off the corner of the bag. 5. Peel the cucumber into slices using a vegetable peeler as shown in the video. 6. Pat them dry with the tissue paper. 7. Pipe the yogurt in the middle of the sliced. 8. Roll the cucumber carefully. 9. Top with black olives. 10. Serve cold.
