4 hour T4- (T3+?) from Glattalp in Schwyz to Urnerboden in Uri. The landscape is varied and very impressive, with it's karst fields and folded rock faces. I arrived at the Glattalo gondola station in the rain and checked my phone for updates every few minutes, like the other hikers who came up with me. Around 10am, the skies cleared up and I left the welcoming Berggasthof Glattalp to start climbing up to the Mären karst plain. The views from up here stretch far and include several glaciers and well-known mountains. It's peaceful to walk/balance across the karst stones. While the climb wasn't as difficult as the white-blue-white signage had led me to expect, the descent down Firner Loch with its easier white-red-white markings was surprisingly steep and challenging. Personally, I would have switched markings... After the 1k meters steep descent, I went for a well-deserved (if I say so myself) beer in Urnerboden Dorf. Great tour!
