Southern Tablelands, NSW, Australia, Storm Chase, Some Lightning, a couple of close ones.

Severe thunderstorms on the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia on the 12th January 2025. My storm chase started just west of Goulburn, NSW with scrappy storms, but non stop anvil thunder. These storms were slowly propagating NW, but I had my eye on a cell near Nerriga, NSW. I saw supple signs of back building on this storm and decided to head towards Braidwood, NSW. The Nerriga cell was a looker, but lightning was infrequent. A supple outflow boundary was the focus of the Nerriga storm, but late afternoon that boundary had pushed westwards towards Bungendore, NSW, into higher heat and an area that had been devoid of earlier scrappy storms. The Bungendore storm became severe not long after. I encountered intense rainfall mixed with very small hail. A nice barrage of cloud to ground lightning on dusk just north Bungendore as well.
