Return To Kingston Penitentiary - Exploring The Haunted RTC Building!

In February 2025, I was fortunate enough to return to the Kingston Penitentiary in Kingston Ontario! This time however, I was granted access to roam the RTC Building, That is the Regional Treatment Centre also known as the Psychiatric Hospital in the jail. This building originally used as a shop in the 1800’s to make and fabric items like shoes and tools. Years later it became a place where the prison would send the worst offenders where they would spend their days in insolation that was in terrible conditions with an extreme and strict 24- hour silence rule. In the 1950’s it became what we know it as today, It housed criminals who were mentally ill but would still be found criminally responsible for their actions.
