Recipe For Dough... 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 cup baking soda 3/4 cup water first mix 2 dry ingredients well then add water in a small pot to cook over low to medium heat. Cook while whisking for about 3 minutes. Switch to spatula when you see it thicken and start forming ball of dough in pot. this should all take from 3 to 4 minutes.Remove from heat and allow to cool enough to touch with hands. Form a ball of dough by kneading a bit then place into a cool pot or bowl and cover with damp towel. allow it to rest for 15 to 20 minutes or until completely cool. Once cool roll out on a cool surface with rolling pin till 1/4 inch thick. Use cornstarch or flour to dust surface so dough won't stick. using cookie cutter cut out desired shapes. Use fork to create a scalloped edge and toothpick to carve in designs or words if desired. A straw can be used to punch out hole for string or ribbon. carefully place cookies on baking pan with parchment paper. preheat oven to 175 F. and bake shapes for 30 minutes, turn over and bake another 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool . Finish off your ornaments/tags using ribbon or string to hang or tie. Use sharpie to write messages if desired or paint to decorate.
