Playlist: • Playthrough: "Dreams to Reality" (3df... This game was quite impressive back in 1997. 3D was still in its infancy, but the varied worlds of "Dreams to Reality" feel fresh even today. The game is thin in story, but heavy in atmosphere thanks to the whimsical graphics, the surprises around every corner and the rich score by Eric Los (https://ericlos.net/dreams-fr). Flying in this game still feels very satisfying and dreamlike. Being a Cryo Interactive game, the downside is in the gameplay of course. The game tries to combine elements of adventure- , action- and platform-games, but it never feels like a cohesive whole. Puzzles can be obscure and gameplay-glitches are everywhere. It can make the game a frustrating experience. But luckily, here at Twilight Adventures, you can sit back and just enjoy the journey itself and leave the bad gameplay to me! TECHNICAL NOTES There are 3 versions of this game; DOS (software), DOS (3dfx) and Windows 95. I played the 3dfx-version. To me it seemed the most stable and most beautiful one. Played it in Dosbox + glide. This game was meant to be played in 640 x 480 pixels, so that's the way I recorded it. In the Dosbox-config file, I changed cycles to 'fixed 45100' to keep it at a stable 17 fps, because the health of Duncan seems to be connected to the fps or CPU-power. If it's to high, you die... © Cryo Interactive Entertainment
