STORY OF PROPHET IBRAHIM (A.S) in Urdu/ Hindi| RAMSHA SULTAN @ramshasultankhan #hajj #makkah #islam Early Life and Rejection of Idolatry Ibrahim was born in a polytheistic society. His father, Azar, was a maker of idols, which were widely worshipped by their community. He questioned the logic and validity of worshipping lifeless statues, which neither heard prayers nor responded to the needs of the people. In Surah Al-An'am (6:74) Ibrahim's quest for truth led him to contemplate the natural world. Observing the stars, the moon, and the sun. He concluded that the true God must be one who is ever-present and all-powerful, beyond the transient nature of the material world. The Confrontation with His People Ibrahim's rejection of idolatry put him at odds with his father and his community. The Quran describes how he openly challenged their beliefs and practices. Ibrahim destroyed the idols in the temple, sparing only the largest one. When the people discovered the destruction, they were furious and demanded to know who was responsible. Ibrahim cleverly suggested they ask the remaining idol if it could speak. Surah Al-Anbiya (21:57-67): This confrontation highlighted the impotence of the idols and reinforced Ibrahim's message about the oneness of God. Nevertheless, his defiance angered the people, and they decided to punish him by casting him into a blazing fire. Miracle of the Fire One of the most miraculous events in Ibrahim's life was his escape from the fire. As the flames roared, Ibrahim's faith remained unshaken. The Quran narrates that God commanded the fire to be cool and safe for Ibrahim: (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:68-69) Miraculously, Ibrahim emerged from the fire unharmed, astonishing the onlookers and proving the power and protection of the one true God. Call to Prophethood and Migration Ibrahim continued to preach monotheism and reject idolatry, but faced continuous opposition. Eventually, God commanded him to leave his homeland and migrate to a blessed land. In Canaan, Ibrahim and Sarah faced a significant test of faith. Despite their old age, God promised them a son. This promise was fulfilled with the birth of Isaac (Ishaq). Sacrifice of Ismail One of the most profound and pivotal episodes in Ibrahim's life is the command to sacrifice his son, Ismail. This event is commemorated by Muslims annually during the festival of Eid al-Adha. Surah As-Saffat (37:100-111): Ismail's willingness to be sacrificed and Ibrahim's readiness to obey God's command demonstrate their unparalleled faith and submission to God's will. God ultimately spared Ismail, providing a ram as a substitute, symbolizing that true sacrifice is in the heart's submission to God. Building of the Kaaba Ibrahim and Ismail were also commanded by God to build the Kaaba in Mecca, which would become the holiest site in Islam. The Kaaba was to be a place for the worship of the one true God. As they built it, they prayed for it to be a center of monotheism. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:127-129) The Kaaba remains a central symbol of monotheism and unity for Muslims worldwide.
