Bochum / Germany is the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Bochum lies in the heart of the industrial Ruhr district, between the cities of Essen to the west ( • Walking in ESSEN / Germany 🇩🇪- City Center... ) and Dortmund to the east ( • Walking in DORTMUND / Germany 🇩🇪 - 4K 60fp... ). The city of Bochum is usually not on a tourist itinerary. This industrial city is another example of the "Ruhrpott" as the area is called as a nickname with some museums showcasing the history in steel production. We start our evening tour of the city at the train station and walk towards the city center to the north. The shops are closed so it's rather quiet there. As we get to the Bermuda triangle area, the streets get more lively. The Bermuda area is the major nightlife spot with many bars and restaurants. Our tour ends at the Schauspielhaus Bochum.
