Malnutrition in hospitalized patients: a serious problem calling for interdisciplinary engagement Recorded Nov 27, 2018 Sign up for this webinar to learn more about recent research findings of the Canadian Malnutrition Task Force. You’ll hear the facts about the prevalence of malnutrition in Canadian hospitals and fully understand why it’s a serious problem. All health-care professionals, including nurses, should be concerned about the nutritional care of hospitalized patients. Presented by: Bridget Davidson, MHSc, RD Director, Canadian Malnutrition Task Force Bridget Davidson worked in the hospital sector as a clinical dietitian, manager and professional practice leader and consultant for the past 34 years. Since early 2010, she has been working with the Canadian Malnutrition Task Force (CMTF), initially as the national project coordinator working with the study coordinators from 18 Canadian hospitals to implement the Nutrition Care in Canadian Hospitals study protocol. Now, as the Director, she works with the CMTF Advisory Committee translating the research findings for everyday clinical practice. A major focus has been training and coaching hospitals implementing the Integrated Nutrition Pathway for Acute Care (INPAC) an algorithm of care that guides health professionals in preventing, detecting and treating those with malnutrition.
