Going to strike from the south. Defended the narrow pass, north of the iron mine. Built bellow towers along with upgraded walls. 3,152 nightmares spawned. Crusher was a big problem (literally). Having strong health and great defences, was difficult to take down. Blessing was Change of Heart, which invokes when a building is destroyed it can reanimate a fallen Nightmare, this could be ideal for walls since they can be destroyed easily. Started to retake the south and push deeper. Night 26 proved a little hairy.
