We go to Cork and check out the Cork 20 1982,with plenty Competition to be had including Ger Buckley`s Opel Ascona 400,John Coyne in his Sunbeam Lotus who were both in with a shout of the Tarmac Championship and with John Price in his Renault 5 Turbo also in with a slim Championship chance as well the 1982 Cork 20 was shaping up to be a great Event and yes it didn`t disappoint as per usual,also include Austin McHale,Demi Fitzgerald,and James Doherty in there Vauxhalls and Ian Tilke Kenny Mckinstry and Frank O`Mahony in there Escorts then there was plenty competition to be had,Buckley and McHale set the pace but both retired,Demi Fitzgerald went on to win outright from Ian Tilke in the Escort who finished 2nd despite losing 4 minutes after slipping off the Road,John Price was 3rd in his Renault and John Coyne clinched the Tarmac Championship even though he didnt feature in the overall Results at the end of the Event,the Weather Conditions were changeable which resulted in quite a few Retirements and once again CVS were there to record the Proceedings and we again thank both CVS and Pat Sullivan Carrignavar for the use of this Footage,Enjoy,
