Dr. Kishan Shenoi, a well known expert in the area of synchronization and timing, provides a tutorial on "time error." Dr. Shenoi is the CTO of Qulsar, which delivers premium time and frequency solutions to support evolving communication networks. He is named on 41 patents and has many publications to his credit, including two books -- Synchronization and Timing in Telecommunications (2009) and Digital Signal Processing in Telecommunications (1995). In his 35 year career, he has been intimately involved with the application of digital signal processing techniques in telecommunications and synchronization and timing. He is an active contributor to Standards bodies (ITU-T, ATIS) and co-chair of the technical committee for the NIST-ATIS-IEEE Workshop on Synchronization in Telecommunications Systems (WSTS), the premier annual North American event for the telecommunication timing industry.
