They tend to be thick-bellied; they dress in bright colors (especially green and yellow); they do not wear shoes, because their feet have natural soles of leather and thick, warm brown hair, like the hair that grows on their heads (which is curly); their fingers are long, crafty, and brown, their faces friendly, and they laugh deep, hearty laughs (especially after supper, which they have twice a day when they can).
