(tw // booms, conflict) Last Saturday (Feb 28), by the start of the preemptive strike, the UAE also got affected alongside most of the Middle East region. The Dubai (500) finals played as usual, but the Fujairah 1 Challenger somehow went ahead until the worst case scenario, which was a red alert delay that occurred on Tuesday (Mar 4) in the middle of the second qualifying round matches. The tournament turned out to be cancelled hours later, but what happened then? We wish everyone affected in the region to stay safe, as well as to stay informed, we live in a mad world 😭🙏 (This is also what I know so far by the time I post this). Edit: The better news, at the end of the day, the ATP pays for it so everyone can leave (per Ilya Ivashka). As they should!
