Today is the day we separate the body from the chassis for probably the first time ever, since it was assembled in 1939. In the last episode we worked on bracing the body to prevent any sagging or stress to other portions of body once off the frame. The only thing going in our favor is the majority of the main floor is missing which eliminates the need to remove those fasteners. Once we have the body off the frame we can start tearing down the frame to prepare for cleaning and paint! Only a few more steps and we will be changing gears and start rebuilding this forgotten hot rod!
