Alphatheta Euphonia 100% Vinyl Deep Progressive Techno DJ mix. By me #AlexDJSimms on Technics SL1210GR’s turntables Since discovering the label ‘Steyoyoke’ through ‘Joris Voorn’s’ Global Underground 43 I have a huge love for techno especially the deep kind (Not a huge fan of the older rave style). I also like my music to lead somewhere hence I class this as ‘Progressive mix’ as I up the tempo as the mix goes on. I would describe it as bit harder than progressive with less vocals and in the words of ‘Soul button’ more Etheral sounding. Starting with ‘Apparat’ from his excellent Equal Sessions album I quickly drop into Lumina which leads nicely into a classic Steyoyoke track ‘Gravity’ from ‘Animal Picnic’. This is what I like to call funky techno so ‘Roy Rosenfold’s’ ‘Forgotten’ is up next with a proper deep funky techno track to grab your attention. I then go deep again with ‘Calma Calma’ and ‘Earth’ before picking things back up with ‘Out of Blue’ and ‘Intrinsic’ leading to my favourite of this set ‘Closer’ by ‘Artbat'….. What a deep and dark tune and by this time I’m doing the two step shuffle! Dropping my joint favourite record of this mix ‘Whispers in the past’ by ‘Clawz SG’ was a no brainer. Love this producer so much and he’s on my favourite label ‘Steyoyoke’ say no more. Its then back into some deep and uplifting techno with ‘Chrom', ‘Vacio’, ‘Licht’ and ‘Halluzination’, before onto ‘Phaxon’ which is ‘Sasha’s’ best release of 2024 IMO. This record sits on the fence as either techno or progressive house but either way lifts the roof off as I lead onto ‘Magnus’ by 'Sam Shure’ another banger and into a beautiful extended version of ‘Memento’ to finish which is more Neo trance but who cares its brilliant. All vinyl mixed on the rotary Alphatheta Euphonia using its built in effects to accentuate the tracks. I am sure no one will really notice unless you know the tracks but helps me tweak my style and is obviously loads of fun.
