Wanted to try the new Martin Lifespan SP Phosphor Bronze Medium strings (http://bit.ly/naItck) to see how the Cleartone coating holds up. As of 8-11-11 the strings have lost a bit of their brilliance, but their tone is still nice and deep on the guitar. No visible loss of coating can be seen and there is a nice comfortable feel to the strings without being too slick or too resistant like uncoated strings. I give these a 4 out of 5 stars simply because Elixir Phosphor Bronze Strings http://bit.ly/nc67OR still seem to retain their brightness a bit better. I apologize for the lighting. Wanted to try a different background and I only have a desk lamp in my living room for light. I also wanted to try and upload some more vids asap so I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time on editing.
