Over six months ago Molly Shannon, Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza made a splash in Park City with THE LITTLE HOURS, their raunchy Middle Ages comedy about a servant boy who seeks refuge in a convent when he is caught having sex with his master’s wife. Full of coercion, lies, weed, and sex, these three ladies portray nuns who rarely live by the laws of the convent. Foul language aside, the abrasive comedy is as unexpected as it is funny, stirring awkward laughs as you begin to understand the film’s overall tone - a unique tone that earned the film a standing ovation when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in January. It was awesome to sit down with the three comedic powerhouses, discussing their confidence in director Jeff Baena, the challenges of the outfit, and the importance to constantly push boundaries.
