🍋 Easy Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) (Serves 1-2) 🌸Ingredients Chicken thighs: 300–350g (cut into 10 pieces) Cooking oil: enough for about 1 cm depth in the pan Lemon: for serving 🌸Ingredients (Seasoning) Ajinomoto (MSG): 8 shakes (optional) Soy sauce: 2 tsp Grated ginger: 2 tsp Salt & pepper: to taste 🌸Ingredients (For the Oil) All-purpose flour OR potato starch (katakuriko): a heaping 2 tbsp 🌸Instructions 1.Cut the chicken thighs into 10 bite-sized pieces. 2.Season the chicken with Ajinomoto (optional), soy sauce, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it absorb the flavor. 3.Pour oil into a frying pan (about 1 cm deep). 4.Add a heaping 2 tbsp of flour or potato starch directly into the oil and stir to combine. 5.Heat the oil, then add the chicken and fry until fully cooked and nicely crispy. 6.When the coating looks set and golden all over, remove and drain. 7.Serve with lemon. 🌸Note In the video, I used all-purpose flour, but potato starch also works. Potato starch may turn out extra crispy 😊 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi!
