HIKING PICO RUIVO - Do this epic sunrise trek up Madeira's highest mountain!

Join me on a sunrise hike from Pico do Arieiro, Madeira's third highest mountain, up to Pico Ruivo, Madeira's highest mountain. The journey starts at Pico do Arieiro at sunrise, before tackling the summit of Pico Ruivo, taking in amazing views and scenes throughout the walk. The hike ends at Achada do Teixeira. I booked a transfer service who picked me up at my hotel in Funchal and dropped me off at Pico do Arieiro before sunrise. They also provided me with a map, weather information, clear pick up instructions and timings, as well as being points of contact throughout the hike if I needed any support. They then picked me up at the mountain cafe at Achada do Teixeira for the return transfer to Funchal.
