A family lunch turned into a flavour-packed journey through Kerala right in the heart of Bengaluru! We visited Kappa Chakka Kandhari, a restaurant founded by three friends to celebrate the true essence of Kerala cuisine — and they’ve nailed it. From starters like black pepper prawns to the incredibly soft mutton coconut fry, everything felt close to home-cooked perfection. The thali was a visual and culinary masterpiece with 13 thoughtfully crafted dishes. The idiyappam paired with chicken curry was a true star, and even the humble beans and avial had us going back for more. Only the drumstick fish curry missed the mark with an overcooked bite. To end it all, we were treated to a wobbly coconut pudding and a surprisingly spicy kandhari ice cream.
