First technique: When your partner pulls guard correctly and you cannot push the foot off the hip, you can jam their guard instead. To jam their guard, you will drive your left shin into the back of their hamstring which would be the opposite leg that they used to pull guard. Then you will knee slice pass towards that direction. Second technique: If your partner pulls guard incorrectly by putting the foot on the same side as your free hand, then you can simply push the foot before it reaches your hip. Use the push to off balance them while using the hand on the lapel to drive forward causing them to fall. Last finish the technique by landing and establishing the side control position.
