North America has seen an uptick in labour unrest this summer, from B.C. port workers, to screenwriters across the continent, to Metro grocery workers in the Greater Toronto Area. As Global's Anne Gaviola and The Peak Podcast's Brett Chang discuss, this is a push to re-distribute corporate profits to workers, versus shareholders and executives. And, ratings agency Fitch has downgraded U.S. debt, from AAA to AA+ because of spiralling government issues and the constant debt ceiling debacles. This is the second major ratings agency to strip America of its gold-star AAA rating after. Our hosts discuss why we shouldn't be worried. Plus, at the movies, Gaviola and Chang talk about how 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' are making box office gold this summer.
