Structure Designer can be used to quickly create frame structure designs. Use sketch curves to define the frame structure and then add members with customizable or stock shapes and sizes. You can create corners such as butt, miter and cope for intersecting members. Structure Designer can be used to facilitate the creation of a beam mesh in your FEM by transferring the beam properties (thickness, cross section, material, and offset) to the mesh. This demonstration shows the basics of creating a frame structure in the Structure Designer application. The frame is then prepared for meshing using the Beam Preparation command and finally meshed using the Beam Mesh Automation command. This requires current engineering practices for product performance verification to evolve into a Digital Twin approach, which enables to follow a more predictive process for systems driven product development. Simcenter software uniquely combines system simulation, 3D CAE and test to help you predict performance across all critical attributes earlier and throughout the entire product lifecycle. By combining physics-based simulations with insights gained from data analytics, Simcenter helps you optimize design and deliver innovations faster and with greater confidence.
