Fashion Week: Should small brands do it or not? How much actually a Fashion Show costs? What should fashion designers think off before comitting to a fashion show. In this video, I share my honest Fashion Week experience and why I decided to say no to expensive runway shows after doing it a few times. I talk about the real cost of Fashion Week, including hidden expenses like travel, accommodation, logistics, and full collection development. A Fashion Week collection usually requires at least 8 looks, often leading to 20 designs, each needing patterns, samples, fabrics, accessories, shoes, and styling. This takes a huge amount of time, money, and resources, especially for independent designers and small brands. I also explain why small fashion brands are rarely invited to major fashion weeks like New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, or London Fashion Week, and what kind of exposure you realistically get when shows are organized by smaller or amateur teams. We’ll compare Fashion Week vs social media marketing, and I share why investing the same budget into Instagram ads, influencer collaborations, pop-ups, and online marketing can often bring better results than a runway show. This video is based on my personal point of view and real experience as a fashion designer and brand owner. Fashion Week can be an amazing creative experience, but it’s not mandatory for success.
