After looking up who Riot Lyte was when originally prompted by a comment request, I began compiling everything I could about him, and its quite clear to me now that while I never intended to create derivative work, effectively the same story was covered far better (and earlier) by Izento... and the level of similarity is quite sizeable. I have no doubt that his work was one of the many articles I read while making this video, and should be linked here now. Clearly the inspiration of that work during the process of reading, watching, and writing down everything I could find with regards to Riot Lyte had an impact on the end product. Todays video is about the origins of a cultural term in both video games, and the wider tech industry.
