PART 2--post operation and first week home. So many women are struggling in silence with fibroids, ovarian cysts, PCOS, endometriosis, and adenomyosis so I will be sharing my journey to encourage open dialogue because YOUR ARE NOT ALONE and all women should be aware of these issues that are plaguing women and especially black women who are twice as likely to suffer from these things. FRIENDLY REMINDER--Fibroids are not a one-shoe-fit alll diagnosis and regimen. There are vegans, who are healthy and never had a perm that have been diagnosed with fibroids. Please share your story and what work/did not work for you, but refrain from making blanketed statements and diagnosing people. It's irresponsible and dangerous. There are women who read these comments who do not have access to health care or do not trust their providers and making generalized statements can be dangerous. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair. Bleach was not used. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.
