"The Desert Song" 1929 Reel 1 - Restoration Kickstarter - Restored From 35mm Nitrate Film & Vitaphone Discs Donate Here: www.paypal.com/donate?campaign_id=YR6QP7DMZEKKL We’re raising money for a new restoration of the 1929 musical film "The Desert Song" using an almost complete 35mm nitrate print (missing reels 5 & 7) and supplementing that with the missing two reels from 16mm. All new sound from a complete set of Vitaphone discs and a complete negative track including the Overture disc and the Exit Music disc. To meet help fund this project, we’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $2,036. The film will be made available freely for download on the Internet Archive once the goal is met and the project is complete. It will also be made available on YouTube and other video sharing websites.
