Abused Ion Audio Block Rocker repair

A friend of mine who is in the navy asked me to look at this so he could use it in the gym. I decided to take it on as a bit of an interesting challenge. This thing was used on a ship so has been exposed to salt water and also it looks like it's been dropped from some height as one of the corner shells was heavily dented and the transformer and woofer were completely detached. I got it going in the end by re-mounting the transformer and speaker, cleaning up the boards and bridging any corroded tracks and replacing a few corroded capacitors and resistors. The battery appeared to be dead but it seemed to gradually come back to life after leaving the unit plugged in for a couple of days. The iPod dock was too far gone to repair unfortunately. I ended up disconnecting the wires that connected it to the preamp board because it was causing some interference. The addition of Bluetooth would have been cool if it worked properly but I was getting too much RF interference so I need to work on better filtering and shielding. I decided not to add bluetooth to this unit but I have an idea for another video that will hopefully be up in the next few weeks.
