FIO House is a bold architectural masterpiece created by studio mk27 in 2015, located in São Paulo, with a total built area of 1,100 m². From the moment one enters the property, sculptural architectural pathways warmly welcome its residents. The architectural journey begins in the garden with a graceful ramp leading to a wooden deck, where an inviting ambiance unfolds with its colorful armchairs and cozy fireplace. This space has been designed for family gatherings, parties, or any kind of event, also serving as an extension of the fully glassed-in living room on the upper floor. Positioned at the level of treetops, the living room offers enchanting views. The presence of light wood ceiling in this area adds to the sense of lightness and coziness, a feature that is also repeated in the facade construction, providing a pleasing contrast with the metallic structure and glass elements that compose the first floor. The house places great emphasis on permeability between the interior and exterior spaces, adopting different approaches on each floor. In the living room, this permeability is achieved through large sliding glass doors that, when opened, seamlessly integrate the living area with the surrounding landscape, emphasizing the connection with the natural environment. On the ground floor, where the bedrooms are located, the concept of permeability takes a more physical form than a visual one. The bedrooms maintain a direct spatial continuity with the garden and the pool, establishing an intimate relationship with the surrounding nature. The stairways leading to the upper floor end in a garden positioned at the height of tree branches, offering a unique and harmonious experience with nature. Wooden brises-soleils in the bedrooms filter the external light, providing thermal comfort even on the hottest days.
