The Bark Filter processor, with its inputs for both “even” and “Odd” has the ability for one side’s followers to control the other side’s levels, much like a vocoder. In this patch, we explored this concept with the use of white noise from the Random Sampling and the Complex Oscillator’s “Master” output. Signal from the Complex Oscillator was sent into one of the inputs while white noise was sent into the other. the “Odd/even” switch was engaged which allowed for the aforementioned effect to happen - The Complex Oscillator directly controls the levels of the white noise. In effect, as the Complex Oscillator changed (the addition of more harmonics, the pitch of the oscillator changing) the white noise was also affected in unique ways, allowing for instant deep space/sci-fi influenced sounds to emerge.
