Trademark Registrations: Can a minor own a trademark?

In the day and age of famous #YouTube influencers and young #entrepreneurs, most minors are now building their brands and need to protect those brands. And some of the questions that I get are whether the actual minor, him or herself, can own that #trademark for their market and for the brand that they're growing. And so whether the minor can own the trademark is really a question that depends on trademark registrations by the state and the state where the minor lives or where they're residing in domicile. So if the minor is of legal age within that state, meaning can enter into a legal contract, can sue and be sued, then the minor can own the trademark in that right, even though it's a federal registration. If they're not, then their parent or legal guardian needs to be the owner of the trademark but clearly stating that they are the parent or legal guardian of such and such for the #trademarkapplication purposes. Now, what happens if the minor becomes of age during the trademark application? The application can be amended to show the owner as of the minor, who is no longer a minor and there is no assignment of rights necessary in this case. I hope this helps.
