This talk discusses some of the perceived characteristics of women and relates these traits to strengths within communication, manipulation and most importantly negotiation. Scientific articles within the field of Psychology prove that traits like: perceived submission, humbleness, manipulation, overthinking, passivity, loquaciousness, and emotional volatility can all be potential advantages when it comes to negotiations. In this TedX talk Lisa a budding psychologist and AAUW negotiator empowers women to take charge and do what is necessary to gain equal pay. Lisa has built a career in analytics, she creates advanced statistical algorithms and manipulates data to explore themes. Lisa uses both Frequentist and Bayesian methods to analyze data queried from relational database management systems, to develop insight and implications. She is also a practicing consumer psychologist with 15 years of experience in: applied research, numerous data collection methods and various statistical software packages . She has provided consumer behavioral insight for clients like Target and Coleman. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
