KSHE Studio 1971 HD

Camping out for tickets at KSHE's studio was unlike any other ticket outlet. Long after the darkness crept in, the radios silenced. They were only to be replaced by the songs of the crickets. In that chilly October morning, we awoke to dampness of the morning dew. From there we assembled in front of the door in the same order we arrived the night before. There was no pushing and shoving, just a bunch of mellow guys. After an hour or so – what seemed like eternity – we were greeted by David Grafman as he opened the door. Although I was 5th in line, I scored 3rd row center to see Foreigner, Gamma and The Michael Stanley Band. The event was KSHE's 12th Birthday. Happy Birthday to KSHE-95! The radio station turns 50 this year, and to celebrate I will be uncovering more of KSHE's history with video shorts in the coming weeks.
