The predated method of making a large incision across the top of the forehead, is not favoured as it leaves a large scar on the forehead. In a more modern method, the gliding brow lift, small holes are made near the hair line and after tunnelling thought these holes the eyebrows are lifted and external stiches are made to stick the eyebrow in its place. These stiches are removed in two days. The eyebrows may look odd for a week or two, but, once the area heals, the eyebrows look naturally lifted.
