Beautiful views at Doi Soi Malai mountain, Thailand

01 February 2025 with Steve Coupland and Stuart Shaw. Today we began in the sleepy town of Mae Tuen and we took the “river trail” from there and eventually popped out on Highway 1175. That part of the day isn’t included here but it was pretty cool and we even saw some monkeys or possibly they were Gibbons in the forest. This video begins at the Park Ranger’s office on the 1175 where the trail up the mountain begins. Go straight at the second Ranger’s Office for Doi Soi Dao or turn left and continue for another 12km or so of fantastic scenic trail to Doi Soi Malai. We brought out tents with us and also plenty of food and drink and even charcoal because there are no facilities up here whatsoever. It’s free of charge to enter and camp up here and is truly an awesome spot to get your fix of nature. You’re unlikely to see another person up here. Truly spectacular. And it’s getting popular these days. Go before the crowds find it and ruin the place.
